Zoom account owners and admins have got the ability to disable the use of personal meeting IDs for scheduling or starting an instant meeting. With the latest update, Zoom admins get more control over the use of personal meeting IDs (PMIs). Zoom is all set to bring more features related to the security and privacy of the meetings hosted on the platform. Lately, the popular video conference platform rolled out several new security features with the Zoom 5.0 update to prevent incidents of zoomboombing. With all the data security and user privacy issues highlighted around Zoom in the recent past, the video conferencing platform has been scrutiny for the last couple of months. You can use this ID to start an instant meeting. The personal meeting ID is a unique meeting room permanently reserved for you. Note: The instant meeting link created using this method will expire as soon as the meeting has ended and cannot be reused. Once the Zoom application is launched, the invitation link will be displayed in the window. You can start an instant meeting by selecting Host a Meeting item in the menu bar. ![]() There are two ways to start an instant meeting.
